Brightling.

"This shows some feeling but very little knowledge. While feeling is, in art, of more importance than knowledge it is of very little use without it. ??? must draw more if only to lead to better observation but all the external ??? of art are improved & strengthened by good drawing. It is as the skeleton to the body & ??? as the body to the soul. There is not a passage in the sketch in which one does not feel the count of bones in the body. A certain harmony in the colour & certain vague hints of ??? may pass for the almost disembodied soul - for those who like the word & the idiom is suggests"
