About Bunny and the D-W name(from Nancy D-W)

Bunny had died (of testicular cancer) about 2 years before I met David. David had a horrible memory of himself and John taking a picnic up on the moors while they waited to collect Bunny's ashes from the crematorium, also the awful smell of cabbage soup in the hospital where he died.

Miss Douglas must have been a friend of the Ingolds and she told Bunny that she would leave him her money if he took on her name, which he did. The names Keppel (John's second name) and Bethell (David's) remain unconnected but must have been friends of the Ingolds or Everetts, also Ronnie and Iris Brookes who I met.

Bunny was involved in the Festival of Rememberance in the Royal Albert Hall in London and David helped him by crawling up a horrid little iron catwalk to the top if the dome (inside) and pushing all the poppy petals out of large cardboard boxes.
