My dear Carry
I have seen Thurston as you requested and found him very civil and willing to give information.
The Islington Property appears to have come into the Story family from a purchase by Archdeacon Coxe, his two brothers George & Edward and Lady Rivers who each of them held a fourth. The division of the property had become necessary through the great number of interests in it through subdivision which had reached such an extent that the value of the Lyon family interest in some of the homes was represented by 10/1150 shares.
The divison was the result of a long amicable remit(?) in the Court of Chancery and was settled by a decree of XX Justice Kay on the 31st Aug ,82 in the case of "Stephenson vs Story" in which Edward was the nominal defendant...
