Older son of Edward and Caroline Jollie, May (Mary) Story's brother. Lieutenant in the 20th Hussars and later a Colonel. Married first Florence Holden and had a son:

  • Francis Ormonde Holden. b. 1890 at Waireka, Patea. Killed in action in France 1915.

    His second marriage was to Elsa Armstrong and they had a daughter:

  • Doris Oenorie. b. 1901. Died unmarried in London. Hardly saw her parents while growing up. Had thyroid trouble.

    Frank and Elsa lived in India and then retired to Jersey. Askrigg Hall was left to him by his grandfather, John.

    Belinda Story adds:
    We (D M P & self ) visited Oenorie in 196? ( from West Woodyates by car ). We had lunch with her in the Irvine Hotel where she lived. She was eccentric but very kind.
