Free State account of operations against Republicans etc. issued by the Post Office authorities at Crosdoney & copies supplied to us. Our only "newspapers" for a couple of weeks in 1922

Notice

Dublin Official News 6th July 1922

As notified earlier final surrender of Irregular position took place at 7.30 PM last night.  Fire broke out yesterday in O'Connell Street in position held by Irregulars, and the block from Tramway Offices to Findlater Place destroyed.  The fire brigade did utmost to save buildings, but owing to strong winds & mines laid by the Irregulars this was found impossible.  Damage which runs into millions will of course fall on the people of Ireland.  There is some reason to think that the fire was started by the Irregulars.  Mr. Sean O'Kelly  J.D.  Was arrested yesterday in his own house, also XXX O'Brien who was with him.
