A page torn out of a notebook with diary notes starting Nov. 27th
Nov 27th. Thursday at the East India docks. Was very bad with face.
28th Friday. Arrived at Dartmouth 12.50pm Col. Methuen came on baord left Dartmouth about 2pm. Heard from home. Very bad with my ??? and tooth and was a little seasick, very rough work.
29th Saturday. Better but caught cold.
30th Sunday. Nice fine warm weather, beginning to feel oneself again - cold in head.
Until 18th Oct. "On board ship, same old thing every day. Instructed squads in musketry"
