Bingfield is the Story family home built by Joseph Story Archdeacon of Kilmore in 1745. To reach it you take the Cavan road from Dublin and from Cavan take the road to Crosdoney. Go past Kilmore Cathedral and Bingfield lies on the right after two miles, though some gates where the road sweeps to the left before Crosdoney village.
Nancy Douglas-Withers ( nee Story ) describes it thus:
A fairly modest country house in the Irish Georgian style set in several acres of parkland, a home farm of 200 acres with appropriate buildings and cottages and several outlying pieces of land which were all let.
