• Notes

  There is a discrepancy regarding the date of birth of Alice Halfacre. Her birth certificate (copy held) give 6 May 1862 with the date of registration 16 June 1862. However he memorial stone in St Thomas' Church, Shanty Bay gives her life span as May 6 1860 to March 12 1943. It appears most likely that the stone mason made an error which the family did not consider important enough to correct.
