Our Family History

Welcome!

Our branch of the Story family finds its root in 17th century Hexham, in Northumberland, England with a farmer John Story. John lost his fortune and moved to Ireland with two of his sons where he lived at Corick in County Tyrone. One son, Thomas inherited the house and the other, Joseph, lived in a house that he built in County Cavan named Bingfield. These two branches form much of the history on this site and their descendants cover the globe from Ireland to Canada and New Zealand.

Getting started

Use the adjacent search to look for people by name or part of their name. Each person has a page of information about them including parents, children and spouses. Useful tabs along the top of each page can be used to see the tree of ancestors or descendants. There is also a tab to allow suggestions and corrections to be made. Have fun!
